company Christmas party where attire is labeled "semi-formal" This is for my husbands office. The party is 6:30 pm and being held in a historical venue. Any suggestions?

I would wear my very best dress, one step down from a formal gown. A special hairdo and makeup would be good too.

I love being a woman, but the guys do have it easier when it comes to clothes. Formal =tux Everything else wear a suit and take off the tie and jacket if need be. "special hairdo" I hadn't thought of that. Thanks! What complicates all this is that I'm going to spend the day at my husbands office then leave from there to go to the party. And from the party we are leaving for the week-end

i would dress as if i were going to a daytime wedding... nice dress, hair done nicely, make-up on, panty-hose & dress shoes.

I would wear a nice pair of black dress pants, and a beautiful top.

a black velvet skirt and nice sweater with some glitter, get my hair done and nice jewelry.

:eek: I shudder at the thought! Maybe I'll take 3 outfits and chose when I get there:rolleyes: Nope! Probably NOT a good idea. Right now I'm leaning toward a brown kinda shimmery top and matching pants (the one I wore Sunday Jen) Then I could wear knee highs! Hmmm I still have the 3:30 wedding on Saturday and Sunday church to pack for. Guess I'd better get started! Thanks ladies!

well, your question WAS "what would YOU wear" ... that's what i would wear... not what i would suggest YOU wear. ;) LOL i think that your outfit from last sunday would be just fine! :)

enjoy your weekend. the kids are gonna miss you on sunday!

I'm going to miss them too! There are Family Worship Packets in the foyer. Remind them they get one KZ buck for each correct answer!!! KZ store is supposed to be open New years day. Maybe the 8th as well. SOOOOO if they are going to "shop 'til they drop" they MIGHT want to earn some KZ bucks!

p.s. The KZ bucks deal is for the Advent papers too! Great timefillers for a road trip perhaps?
