Looks like what a tornado might look like from an airplane

That's what I was thinking. Tornado or hurricane.

To me, it looks like a cloud deck that a jet plane has just broken through, leaving a trail of jet exhaust.

Here are a couple of additional shots. We have an airport close by so the jet thing is most likely what cause the hole in the cloud deck.

I think the photo is upside down and was taken from an airplane. When you turn it over it looks like clouds surounding some type of venting volcanic formation. Maybe a volcanic island just breaching the ocean's surface.

Maybe it's where a UFO descended. :eek: Perhaps you should go out and look for crop circles.

Donna took these around four this afternoon. She spotted a young guy looking up and he pointed to the sky. When she could get turned around she got the camera and took these shots. We are under a flight path to the airport which is only about a mile away.
