and they'll have more time to prepare for the bowl game that they did their game with Hawaii. Then they "red eye" back after the game so that the players can get to their homes for Christmas. Go Broncos.

That would be nice if it were telecast here.

You don't want to watch it. It is a long night for the BSU Broncos. Can you imagine how bad Hawaii is going to get beat by Georgia? The WAC was awful this year. Last night the University of New Mexico beat Nevada 23-0. I believe that Hawaii had to kick a field goal to beat Nevada on the final play and Boise State beat Nevada 69-67 in overtime. Yes, that is football, not basketball?:q)

Boise State came back and made a game of it, but losing to East Carolina is not something you expect from a team trying to establish itself as a perennial Top 25 team. This was a bad loss for the Broncos and for the WAC.

A few days ago I was thinking what a lousy bowl BSU got for a Top 25 team, but it appears that the selection committees of the better bowls really do know more than we do.

One of the main problems is that BSUs best and most prolific pass catchers(80 some this season), Jeremy Childs, messed up by breaking some team rule, the nature of which has not been disclosed, and did not make the trip. I believe he would have made the difference. All the running backs will be back and there are 14 of 24 first teamers returning expecting Junior Ryan Clady 6'6''/320 lbs. and selected on several first team All-American teams will go to the NFL rather than stay. So the expectations for next year will be higher than this 10-3 rebuilding year.
