The thread about Trevecca got me to wondering about which Nazarene schools have the most NazNetters. Here is a poll. If you attended more than one, you can select all that apply.

Did you leave out NBC and NTS on purpose? They don't fit exactly...just wondering.

I was limited to 10 choices by the software, so I selected the 8 Liberal Arts schools in the U.S. and use the other two choices to try to include everyone.

I picked Olivet, but I only took two masters courses there. However, I have had children at: SNU, TNU, ONU, NBC, NTS and also correspondence studies.

Dwayne graduated from Trevecca, and worked on his masters at University of Memphis when it was Memphis State University.
My alma mater is Winthrop College (now a University.) It was a women's college most of "it's life", and Clemson was our brother school. Both have been co-ed for years now. Years ago, it as satuated with Methodism, even though it was a state school. They sent young women out as missionaries.

Attended SNU when it was BNC Sent my son (and my money) to PLNU.

Am I the only NazNetter who attended the Trevecca Elementary Demonstration School?
Don't even know whether they even have it any longer. It wasn't higher ed, but I certainly wouldn't want to classify it as 'lower ed' (it produced at least one Naz college president).

Ann, you increased my vocabulary. I had to look up "satuated." It is a good word and you used it properly. Thanks.

Bob, I suspect that you would be surprised by the quality of the food at all of the Nazarene schools. Compared to when I was in college, the food is great. There is a lot of variety and a lot of quality. The food at ENC was so great that I gained about 20 lbs while I was there.

Dave,
I've gained weight since I left ENC because of the quality of ENC food. At ENC, the salad bar was so good that I ate lunch on campus every day. Of course, I also miss the college weight room and the daily walks along the beach.

The Trevecca Elementary Demonstration School graduated Dr. Loren Gresham, President of Southern Nazarene University.

Jim Poteet -

Don't think I've see you since we were teens on the old San Antonio District. Yeah, you're right - it was Loren Gresham. His father was Dean and his mother taught there. Had the privilege of droppping by to see him a year or so ago and he proudly gave me a tour of the University's equestrian center. It was the first time I had been in Bethany in about 45 years. One or two things had changed.

Althiugh I selected MVNU, I've never actually took a class on campus. I'm taking the Course of Study through MVNU. and have taken classes in Canal Winchester, Canton, and Westerville, all in Ohio.

However, my daughter will probably be going there next year. Her friend from church has been accepted there as well and they plan on rooming together.

When I was a student at NNC both NNC and Point Loma were on the quarter system. NNC offered a PE class for skiing during the winter quarter, the class had a participation fee that granted the students significantly discounted, unlimited lift tickets at the nearby Bogus Basin ski resort.

There was an enduring legend on the NNC campus that one year, some students from Point Loma 'transferred' for the quarter so they could take the ski class. They spent so much time on the slopes, that they were rarely seen on campus and no one saw them in any other classes, but the Point Loma skiers supposedly had a dorm room where they would crash after the slopes closed. After the winter term they went back to sunny California.
