I'm working on part of the publicity for our "Take Jesus to Dinner" dinner for our Compassionate Ministries offering. I was wondering, is there some place on Naznet where folks can post their projects for others to reference if they wish?
In case you missed the original post, the idea is to invite the congregation for a Sunday dinner in which they'll eat dishes from different Regions / Nations through the world. Along with each Region will be interesting facts: Regional Personnel, which field, nation, and district the recipe originates from. Included will also be the names of missionaries from that specific nation, when the COTN entered that nation, the numbers of churches, members, elders, licensees, and deacons that particular nation has.
The meal will be promoted with Compassionate Ministries in mind, reminding everyone that it only takes $40.00 to feed a family for a month, and it's broken down further from there. Everyone is encouraged to give a love offering of $40.00 or if they can not afford $40.00 they are encouraged to give whatever they can afford. I.E. if 30 people could each give $1.35 it would feed a family for a month, or if 90 people could each give $.45 it would feed a family for a month.
Anyway, I find myself investing a good amount of time in collecting the information, to which I plan on adding a map or flag of each country featured. However, at this point, I'm limiting my plans to six regions / nations, leaving out the US and our Creative Access areas.
I was thinking that someone else might benifit from the time and effort I have invested into this project.
So, once I get my information sheets together, where would be a good place to post the info? All info has been collected through the Global Information Network, which I found very resourceful. I've simply compiled all of the information for the Regions / Nations I picked on one sheet instead of how the Network had it listed in different browsers / links.
Watch, I'll go through all of this work, and someone will have already done it, and I just couldn't find it. lol
If anyone else is interested in the information, please respond and I'll see what I can do about e-mailing it directly for now. It is something that I would like to make available if anyone is interested though.
