Tho' mine's more towards navy, tho' not quite [marine/meridian blue?], was glad it wasn't the "royal blue" the guy had said on the phone before I saw it. Since he had added, too, that it had a bit of gold on it, all I could think was, "U of M" fanatic ... with this bright blue & gold van! Well, it's not; it's a more subdued near-navy, so it's OK. ;)
One thing I kept saying I'd miss from the Bronco was my inflatable lumbar support. Guess what? That's one of the nice features this one has!
Also, the guy I got it from has been the vehicle source for a friend & several of her family members over the years, & he's known as a good, honest gentleman. Then when AAA (surprise, they came in low-bid when insurance hunting!) found who they were to fax the proof to, that guy commented on knowing Herb, having had dealing with him, and commented re his honesty. THEN when I took a check I'd saved for awhile to cover what I'd written this guy, they wondered where. When they learned where, the teller said, "Oh, my mom has gotten a car from him before!" and that he was a good guy.
So, he's gotten plenty of endorsements. He & his wife are Christians, but before I knew that, I just knew that she seemed a very sweet gal, who happened to be one of my favorite teachers when yet in high school. ;) Anyway, it reminded me of Proverbs, hearing all these things, tho' it seems there's something else other than this that mentions reputation/character:
Proverbs 3:3-5
3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
15282 15283
15284 15285
