I noticed that there are now 778 members of Naznet but there have been no Naznet birthdays for the past 3 days. You would think with that number of members, there would be at least 2 birthdays a day. Any thoughts?

It could be that birthdays are not evenly distributed among the population. It could have something to do with the weather. Are babies more likely to be conceived in certain times of the year than others?

It could also be that not all Naznetters have not indicated their birthdays, thus skewing the results.

Perhaps Hans can indicate which birth dates are the most frequent among Naznetizens.

I expect birthday greetings in march lol

I think alot of people don't have a birthdate in their profiles.

Of course , the most important birthdays are in July .(Right , Dave ?) And yes , Steve , time of year makes a difference . I used to work in the nursery at the Grace Salvation Army Hospital and the first year we reached over 200 births in any month was October . Count back and you are looking at the coldest time of year here in Ottawa . Can't recall the busiest months for the rest of the year but October was always busy .

Well, not everybody enters his/her day of birth when registering. So I can't see that either.

It could be that there are individuals such as myself who don't correctly report their birthday. I can't stand it when I sign up for a site that requests one's b-day information to join. That's confidential information that I don't wish to share with everyone just to join a site. Honestly, I'm not sure what birth date I provided upon joining NAZNET. I'm pretty good about choosing January 1 of the oldest year they have available. lol, sometimes that puts me at 100 years old!!

Cold, natural disasters, lack of electricity, soldiers returning home from war, etc... Several years ago our community experienced a pretty bad storm, knocking out power for a couple of days. Nine months later there was a little baby boom in town.

No mystery - Naznet is a sort of 'cyber fountain of youth'.
Reminds you of the old gospel song refrain:
"Never grow old, where we'll never grow old,
in a land where we'll never grow old."
