I like it very much.
It's very similiar to a discussion I had with one of my volunteers today. I really believe that the key to victorious Christian living is to abide in Christ in each moment, moment by moment...beginning NOW. I don't spend a lot of time questioning and wondering how I can get closer to Christ.
If I remain faithful to Him...if I abide in Him in THIS moment then I will be closer to Him in the next.
Thanks for sharing the link.

Thanks Anne for the link. It's interesting reading and should be very appealing to those hungering and thirsting after righteousness in the Christian life. I agree with what is said in the articles (essays) I took the time to read, but I do have some questions.
More later..

It seems to me that the abiding in Him is the vitally important part of our relationship with God. No matter how depressed I may get, or how discouraged, sick or afflicted, it just never crosses my mind to give up, or feel that He has failed me. We can know, that we know, that we know, and satan has no control in our life, as long as we abide in Him. We know whom we have believed, and that He is able, to see us through.
I have gone through long periods of not feeling Him anywhere near, and would say, "Lord, though you slay me, yet, will I serve you." I could not face each day without Jesus.

Thank you Anne for your testimony above. It is so very encouraging to hear other Christians tell how the Lord is with them in the difficult and dark times. I have learned to surrender every detail, every problem in my life to God and then keep it there, trusting Him with it. To abide in Him is all about unbroken relationship with our loving Lord.
A pastor back in the mid seventies quoted Matthew 28:18 for a text in explaining what you said about Satan having no control in our lives and abiding in Christ. He said, "If that is true what Jesus said about,'all authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth,' then the only power that Satan has in our lives is what we allow him to have." And I say amem and praise the Lord!
Blessings to all..

And I say a double Amen!

Such as: Wouldn't it seem easier to seek out a denomination that believed and taught what you believed? The founder includeds all organized religion as hindering God's will for the Christian. I'm not sure he's right.
The Lord may bless The School of Christ ministry and those who join, like Christian shut-ins and those inclined to not attend church anyway. What about the richer fellowship and the opportunity to serve Christ in the Church of the Nazarene or anywhere Christ is building His church? Just my thoughts.
