Well, I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Allison, I'm an Army wife and SAHM. My dear friend Katy mentioned this forum and to my surprise I found out Dave was the owner. My family is long time friends of the McClungs and I was actually one of their grandson's first teacher... what a small world!

Anyways, I am a born and raised Nazarene, went to NNU. My husband is currently stationed in WA, however, he was injured during a training exercise and is now at the end of a Medical Discharge. Our date to become civilians (:gen03 I'm not sure I'm ready) is March 3rd, and then we'll be moving across the country to start a new life in Green Bay, WI! We have one beautiful daughter, Hanna, who is 18 months! And two rotten dogs, who are just as spoiled; Daisy (English Bulldog) and Beau (Great Dane).

Life is pretty crazy for us right now, between leaving the Army, moving across country, I'm awaiting surgery in February, leaving my family here in WA... wow, and that's just the tip of the ice berg, lol. But I know God has got AMAZING things planned for our family and so we're just taking it one step at a time! I can't wait to get to know you all! Thanks.

ROFL, I don't know what a SPC wife can do but I'm sure I can sweet talk some of our brassy friends, lol. Is the Chinook unit here just NG? 'Cause we have a lot of Chinooks on the air field 24/7! OH, can your Dh take me up in the chinook? I went up as a kid and it was awesome, I want to go again!!! Teehee!

Hello Allison, and Welcome to Naznet.

I was only a miltary wife for less than a year, but I enjoyed it. Dwayne was on a mobile sight, out of Sumter, Sc. on the USAF base in Charleston, SC. He made high enough to be a pilot, but, as you know, they would not wait on him to lose his extra weight, so he was placed in Communications. They had to be ready to leave within 30 minutes, if the call to do so should come.

Even during this short time, we made some life long friends.

It's nice to see some new faces making their way to the W2W forum.

Welcome Allison

I was a Air Force wife for 24 years. The change to the "civillian world" was not as hard for me as it was for my husband. But yeah its a change i wasn't sure I was ready for. Still new to me..just one year retired.

Enjoy Naznet and will pray for your upcoming events!
