It is pouring and pouring and pouring with thunder and lightening and tornado warnings.

January 8!!!! 56 degrees!

If this were snow....the entire town would be shut down today.

I was in a snow storm in St. Louis in January one year that dumped 22 inches of snow in one day AND there was a thunder/lightening storm ABOVE the snow storm. It was snowing so hard and I kept hearing this thunder and seeing these flashes. My friend lived near the airport and I assumed it was airplanes flying low because of the storm.

But the news on TV reported a thunder storm above the snow storm.

Weirdest weather I ever experienced.

Just some more trivia on a boring day.

It's currently 68 degrees here. It was nice enough to open the doors and windows for a couple of hours, but they're closed now, as it's beginning to cool off. I've REALLY enjoyed the warmer weather.

Barb, lightening during a snowstorm will surely griddle your flakes.

We got about 8 inches of snow Sunday. Right now it is very pretty. I work at a school and from my desk I look out at a blanket of snow covering the grass area and ball fields.

It snowed here off and on all day long with more predicted right on through Friday.

The unusually high temperatures were indicators of the system that brought in the unusual tornados for this time of year. The colder air pushed down under warmer air causing an updraft which triggers the twisting air forming a tornado.
