Been studying a lot, post modernism, Open Theism, and feel like saying, "Well who really cares?" Does it all matter really? I have here, and elsewhere noted how different folks find , or seek to find, spiritual satisfaction. Seems to be, what works for you go with it, very post modernist statment indeed lol.
Also, here and elsewhere, hear folks tragic stories, their pains and struggles, and many do valiantly. But reading between lines, and looking at own life, amazed how emotions form out spiritual thinking, theology to use a colder word.
We are an emotional people, differing from each other is circumstances and temperament, make of mine what you wish!
Its is interesting how emotions at any one time form how we believe, how we view things. Have a friend who has had a hard life and struggled valiantly, who says, "If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have luck at all!" I actualy see clearly what she means.
I think, if we are having a good life, not always the case, but most often, our beliefs are more positive, and if life isn't kind, well we see things differently. A person going through good times rejoices a lot in
God's gracious gifts, a person who isn't, less so!
I think we don't take heed enough to peoples emotions, and maybe our own, we try to run Christian life's on dogma, whereas we are emotional people and emotions are soo very important!
