I searched on line and found an article - not sure if it is the one referenced, but here it is: Avoid These Debit Card Traps (http://www.rd.com/content/debit-card-traps-and-fees-to-avoid/1/)

Thanks Joel. I have only had one problem with using my Debit card. That was at a gas station and when the charge came across my online credit union account - it was for $8.00 more. I called the credit union and they credited my account. But, I'll never go back to that gas station - and it wasn't a mom & pop gas station, it was a popular named one.

I love my debit card, but I'm careful where I use it. When I go "out of town" I use a credit card.
