How true! But some one told me that some famous philosopher said it was like a box of chocolates. Evidently sometimes life is kind of chewy, bittersweet, or has a cherry like a bowl of cherries.

I think that was Forest Gump's momma. You probably didn't see the movie.

The line in the movie goes:
My momma always said, "Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

Thanks for the information, you are right, of course I did not see the movie, I'm an old fashion Nazarene.

Might be an interesting one to rent/view, since it's history-related ... in it he meets Presidents Kennedy, Nixon, Johnson(?), and some other "fine folks."

Also, he and a buddy, in the movie, began a Bubba Gump (his friend was Bubba, and he, of course, was Forrest Gump) fishing business, and then these became the food for a restaurant chain ... which now actually exists, since the movie was so popular:

There is one part with which we don't agree ... but it's not detailed/explicit in the movie; you just know that, once Forrest & his lifelong friend, Jenny, grow up, that "things happen." Forrest ends up w/a little guy who's very smart, unlike his lovable---but rather slow---father, Forrest.

Anyway, Tom Hanks does a good job at playing Forrest. Still like the "BIG" movie he did ... the stand-out part to me being the floor-piano that he danced around on, playing a tune. Finally seeing one of those in a store several years ago at Christmas, I just had to try it out. It was FUN!
