I have deleted four posts in the "depression" thread. There was only one post which violated NazNet guidelines (IMO) but three others quoted parts of it in their response.

Notice you quoted a fragment of one of my favorite hymns in your logo. I consider it to be one of the one fo the most beautiful settings of Psalm 23.
One of my favorite stanzas says:
Perverse and foolish oft I strayed, but yet in love He sought me,
And on his shoulder gently laid, and home rejoicing brought me.
And then there's that magnificent affirmation in the final stanza:
And so through all the length of days Thy goodness faileth never;
Good shepherd, may I sing Thy praise within Thy house forever.

Thanks John.
As I said in another thread, I've been listening to a CD lately (A Musical Tribute to C.S.Lewis). It features a beautiful arrangment of this hymn.
I've loved the hymn for years, but for some reason it was "speaking to my condition" at this point in my ilfe so I thought I would use it as my signature for awhile.

Barbara, can [I] ask you a question? Are you a piano player?

I know a bit about the piano and can play a few basic hymns in the key of C but no...I am not a pianist.
I lead worship with my guitar. But the expression of music that is ME is vocal. God has blessed me with a vocal ability and I love to sing.
