I don't know how or when the smilies changed that you see when posting, but I do know they are kind of messed up. When I select on, I get to see another after I posted.
And I think the most common ones should be directly visible, with "funny" ones behind the "more" link.

Hans, it is a work in progress -- some folks wanted some of the ones I added to the Wesley, etc. forums so I moved them over here, but that created some other problems that needed to be worked through. I, too, wanted the basic ones to appear next to the post entry box -- but I had to find time to do that -- something that doesn't work very well on a Sunday! But here I am on Monday morning and I just worked through all the smilies and think I fixed both the basic ones and the problem with different smilies appearing than were selected.
