I admit to doing a dumb blonde thing yesterday. My sister gave me a battery operated can opener for Christmas. Our electricity was out for 15 hours due to the storm. It took me awhile to realize that I could still use the can opener. I felt so stupid when it dawned on me that the electrical outage did not effect it because it was battery operated and not electric.
