Many of you have heard about the shooting in Tinley Park, Illinois of 5 in a Lane Bryant store. This community is reeling in shock. The Police Chief said he went home Saturday and gave his wife and kids an extra hug. One lady had only been married a short time, had just lost a baby in miscarriage and now her husband has lost her, and he is devasted. Another lady had just obtained a new job and had gone in this store to buy a new pair of hose before going to her job. People are leaving flowers at the site. Flags are flown half mast. People are visiting the store front and openly weeping.
The murderer herded these 6 women into a back room, duct tapped them over the mouth and taped them together and then shot them all. One survived because it went thru her neck and then she played dead. After he left she called 911.
I almost wish we could forward this to Nazarene Headquarters. I dont want to over react, but if the families of the victims cant turn to the church in their hours of sorrow, where else can they go?
A friend of mine was there to investigate this crime and he said the scene looked like a slaughter house.
I hope we never get so hard that these things cease to bother us! If we do, then America is gone!

This is so devastating. Hopefully, the families will have a church connection. I imagine, there wil be Christians that know them, and know if they need the love, prayers, and fellowship of Christ and Christians, at a time like this--surely.

Personally, i have never experienced anything like this. but, as a child, I saw a man shoot his brother. I think the man lived. The one who shot him, later got out of prison, and became a minister.

I was standing on the next door neighbor's porch. We woud have not been allowed to pester our neighbors, or run in and out. But, I ran in there, and told Mrs. Finger what happened. I cannot remember anymore. Her son Larry, taught Dwayne one subject, at Trevecca, MANY years later.
