Yesterday at lunch at the hospital, someone was eating this little, itty, bitty clementine. She said they were "cherry oranges" and very sweet. I had never seen one before.
Today, one of the out patients had one and offered it to me when I asked her about it. It was lovely and, indeed, very sweet.
I bought a couple of dozen on my way home and have already eaten several.
I had never seen them before but thought that I would recommend them to anyone who hasn't tried them.
The write up on the package says
The Emperor's Delicacy
The Cherry Orange is an extremely tiny and rare Mandarin found only in a remote region in the south of China, dating back 1300 years. It is exceptionally juicy, sweet and effortless to peel, which is why it's always been the favourite snack of the Emperor.
