Hi,

I know there will be a lot of people that do not like change. I am used to change, and like using the latest thing ;-> I actually like this forum software a little bit better, because you can keep track of what forums have new posts. I check many of the forums everyday. Some do not have posts for days on end. With this software, you can see if there are any new posts on the first page.

It is also easier to post, as you can see what it is going to look like without going back and forth from the preview. And you can set the time, so you do not have to decipher what time things were posted, when you are not in the server timezone ;).

Just my 2 cents, and some change ;-),

This is more like the other forums in which I participate. One of the things that I have always liked about the Celidh software was the ability to fork a thread. That whole tree structure approach was nice. It seems easier to reply to an individual post when you can start a new fork. Replies that land at the bottom of the view always, can be hard to follow, or can discourage some comments from even being replied to.

The look and feel of the new software is pleasent. It looks sharp and is easy on the eyes. It currently seems to be more responsive than the other forums, but that my simply be due to traffic. The preview while writing is good.

All in all I think I would miss the Celidh forums because the ability to fork threads is important to me. On other boards that use this software, or software like it, I often give up on a topic because I find having all the discussion following one thread, while what people are actually writing often do not follow that thread, difficult to keep up with.

Put me in the, what-ever-you-end-up-with-is-fine column.

Yes, I also like that peaceful, meditative mood it displays

I had a bad hair day when they snapped my picture. :o

Do you know what the session timeout is? It timed out on me while I was composing a post. Thankfully I had my entire post copied into my clipboard or I would have lost it.

By the way, I don't seem to be able to use the spell check. There is a button in the upper left of my editor with the letter 'A' in it, but it has a red 'X' through it.
