A few years ago at a Multicultural Conference General Superintendent Jerry Porter demonstrated what should be the church's response to racial division. I thought it was a stellar event. View video at:

Oliver, I haven't had time to view the video and think on it, yet, but I have heard Dr. Porter speak at a District Assembly, in a way that would be sort of a reconciliation of races. and, you probably, already know how I feel.
Yesterday, a lady from our church called me. She is a black, and we always end with saying, "I love you." I told her aunt recently, concerning this lady's children-"They are my children, too!" She just laughed and said, "I KNOW it."

Very moving experience, Dr. Oliver, to view this video. Dr. Porter was a student at BNC when I was on the faculty there and as an MK he was a force in the student body for reconcilliation. I have worked with and for Dr. Johnny Nells at SVIS and lived on or near three different Native American Nations. Having studied in the area of Cultural Geography I have long felt that there has been a need for greater commonality and a coming together of all Nazarenes as a really bonded family of believers in Jesus the Nazarene.

Oliver, I don't have time to watch it right now because I am at the conference at NNU and it's late and my brain is about to explode already. But This video is on the top of my list for things I want to watch. Thanks for pointing it out.

I saw that it was only 5 minutes so I went ahead and watched it.

Powerful. Thank you for sharing this.
