It seems we haven't been able to generate much conversation on the Youth Workers forum. May I should start one about nothing.

I can't decide whether that is funny or sad. I don't know why we don't have any youth worker posts. Maybe they are too busy? I am not a youth worker but my daughter and son-in-law are. My son-in-law just graduated and my daughter graduated a couple years ago. They are looking for a church if any of you need a youth pastor.

I've been thinking. I don't know everyone's age here on Naznet but it does seem like the average Naznetter is middle age or above. The average youth worker is usually under 35. That could have something to do with it.

Or maybe all our youthworkers are just too busy....

Wow! Is God ever working in our youth group! The power of prayer is winning souls and transforming lives in our little community of Pefferlaw!
We have had teens brought back from the brink of disastrous lifestyles, meetings with the School Bd. over drunken dances, parents we don't even know calling us to see if their kids can join our group cause they herd of us from other people, Bell Canada calls us on behalf of blind and deaf people who are concerned for their kids and want them in a youth program!, Kids giving their lives to Christ, God placing prayer burdens on kids to pray for each other,
I could go on and on! Praise God eh!
All we do is pray and ask God how we can reach our Church kids friends. The youth leadership prays constantly throughout the week, and before each youth group meet.
God is great.
Now others are stepping in and asking to run a youth group for grades 6,7,and 8. This provides a line of friends running into High School. This idea I put forth when my son was in grade 7 and started to involve myself with the youth.
Now the kids that were in his grade 7 class have a network of more than 100 kids that know each other from our youth group! Mike is now in grade 11. WOW! Who would have ever thunk it eh??!! It has made a hugh difference in the life of 100 kids! Praise God.
Just be ready for the ride of your life! Cause teenagers will take ya there!
So far we have reached from the Mayor right on up to the Aid for the Prime Minister of Canada!!! HA!
Next, THE WORLD! Cause some of the kids I may take to Africa next March! o,o,...

Have you thought about just doing searches of Nazarene church websites, writing down the youth pastors email addresses, and sending a mass email to them with an introduction, a link to naznet, and a general invitation to join in?
Could be time consuming at first but might be worth it.
