Secure Connection Help...

My daughter is home from college with her laptop. For some reason it will not let her make a secure connection (neither at college or here at home).

I've fiddled with the "Tools, Options, Security settings" and it didn't seem to help. Is there something I'm overlooking? What else should I try?

Are you talking about VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection or going to secured web site? XP home or Professional? Any particular client software she's using on her laptop to make a secure connection?
