Before today, I'd never found a Nazarene-related sports article by clicking on one in the top news of any major sports site.
Today I found this:
C.J. Henry transfers from Kansas to NAIA School (http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/news?slug=ap-snazarene-henry)
Upon further research, I found an article on SNU's website (http://snusports.publishpath.com/basketball-mens).
Know anything more, Coach Poteet?

C.J. Henry is the older brother of Xavier Henry, the Memphis Grizzlies number #1 draft choice in this year's NBA draft. C.J. was the 17th pick in the 2005 major league baseball draft by the New York Yankees. He had little success in baseball and when his brother, Xavier, signed with Memphis, he quit Baseball and enrolled in the spring of 2009 so that he could play with with his brother in the 2009-10 season. However, John Calipari quit as the Memphis coach, so Xavier & C.J. were released to go to Kansas. Both played at Kansas last year. Xavier was the Jayhawks leading scorer and C.J. played very little. Now that Xavier is headed to the NBA, C.J. is returning back to Oklahoma City. He was a very good high school player, but 5 years away from the game may be tough to overcome.
The decision to play at SNU has netted a great deal of publicity and he does not cost a scholarship. Part of his signing with the Yankees in 2005 included the payment of future education. So Yankee money is paying his way to SNU.

CJ Henry was a throw in for signing Xavier last year. It's unlikely he would have even been asked to join the KU team this year now that his brother is gone. Like Coach said, the time away from basketball was too much for him to get back to top level D1 form. Best wishes to SNU, though. He should be an asset there.

To this Red Sox fan with dear feelings for SNU, this is music to my ears.
