Legendary Coach John Wooden fell in his home, breaking his wrist and collarbone. He received transfusions for anemia, but should recover fully. I thought about posting this on the Sports thread and then the Current Events thread, but it seems a little more important than that.
Coach Wooden is 97 now and it's not a stretch to imagine he won't be around forever. I think he is the most important figure (and certainly most revered) in the sport of basketball. He's been a strong leader and an even better man for a long time now.
I'm not prone to these sentiments, but when you see a life like his, you wonder if God isn't keeping him around as long as possible so we can all see how life should be lived. I'm glad he'll be alright and I hope he has a long life still to lead.
