I'm hardly keeping up with what I already have, but I received € 50 yesterday so I succumbed to the temptation. This is the list I ordered:

Blue Like Jazz: Nonreligious Thoughts on Christian Spirituality - Donald Miller

The Crucified God: The Cross of Christ As the Foundation and Criticism of Christian Theology - Jurgen Moltmann

The Church in Transition: The Journey of Existing Churches into the Emerging Culture (Emergentys) - Tim Conder

Exclusion and Embrace: A Theological Exploration of Identity, Otherness, and Reconciliation - Miroslav Volf

Thank you, NazNet, for your advice!

Ha ha! I get to take credit for one of those!! If it makes you a better person I'm going to take credit for that too. :laughing

Which one, Kevin?

Man, I have so many books. I have Blue Like Jazz somewhere, need to read it. Still finishing off "Everything Must Change." (Oh, and if anyone's on wordpress, there's a discussion going on there about EMC).

Ok, I'm procrastinating...must go get my taxes together. <sigh>

Meghan, I gave Hans a strong recommendation for Exclusion and Embrace. It was absolutely formative for me, it totally reshaped my personal theology and opened up for me the concept of relational faith and relational holiness. It may have just been the right book at the right time for me personally, but man, I just loved it.

Hans -
I've read three of the four, and they're quite good (Miller, Moltmann, and Volf). I'm familiar with Conder's book, but I haven't read it.

Good choices! I'm using Volf's book as a supplementary reading text for a course I'm teaching in the Spring at Fuller NW (Volf's former "home" was Fuller Pasadena before he got a teaching gig at Yale) called "Leadership, Race, and Gender." I got Volf's book when it first came out. I was living in Texas, and I liked it so much, I got one of the local Christian book stores to order it! The book buyer read a portion of my copy and was "hooked."

God bless,
Charles
