So many places today we read these ads that say, "get rich quick" and promise so many riches in a short time; but you know, I am the Lord's and I am rich right now, Im the son of a King, and am heir to the throne!
For thousands of dollars you can send your loved one's ashes to rest in peace on the surface of the moon; but one of these days I am going even farther than that to rest in peace eternally, where the sun never sets!
For hundreds of dollars, you can get botox or other products to erase the wrinkles in your face; but you know, the joy of the Lord is in me and on my face, until it shines with His glory!
For a few dollars you can join one of these workout places and lift weights until you are a strong man/woman and have these muscle bound bodies; but you know the joy of the Lord is my strength, and He that is in me is stronger than he that is in the world!
For several thousand dollars, if you are having trouble seeing, they can do surgery to the eyes and correct blurred vision; and now we look through as it were a blurred glass, but soon all will be made plain and I will see Jesus face to face with perfect vision!
Today, as every day I travel a good hour to get to work through traffic, over hill and valley; but when Jesus comes, in an instant, I will go up to meet Him, and another instant travel to my Heavenly home, using speeds yet unknown.
Today, we live in an age of wars, violence, and senseless killings; but when the Great Prince of Peace comes back, all these things will cease, and there will be bent knees in worship of the King of Peace!
Today we have trouble paying for our homes because of the economy, and face foreclosures; but in that day, I will walk up the path to the front door of my mansion, thats already been paid for!
Now, there are times when we are too busy for much fellowship with our friends and loved ones; but one of these days we will be sitting on the banks of the river of life, catching up with all the true and lovong friends we have known over the years!
Today there is worry, there is tears, there are brokenhearts; but in Heaven all tears will be wiped away, and all sorrow will be forever gone!
Today there is sickness, fatal diseases, the young die as well as the old; but in that Heavenly land, there is no death but only life eternal, there is no sickness. There will be no doctors to bring bad news, no hospital beds, no blood pressure cuffs, no surgeon knives, no wheelchairs for the elderly. In fact in that land you wont collapse on the sofa from being so tired.
And....for all you who are really OLD...do you suppose there will be any false teeth or glasses??????
