Throughout this whole month of March Rachel Scott's family from the Columbine Tragedy have been touring all over Idaho in school assemblies to promote the virtue of kindness. A major sponsor has been the local NBC channel which has featured news items about students who have been bullied earlier and have switched schools as a result and large banners on which students signed committing themselves to treat each other with more kindness and compassion. On March 19 a large rally in the Idaho Center attended by thousands featured Rachel's dad speaking on this topic.
Rachel will be remembered as the first of the victims who was asked if she believed in God and when she answered that she did was shot by the very same type of youngster that she had been trying to reach out to in compassion and kindness.
