It was very nice.

And the layout of the page I was working on looked pretty good...even after I turned the lights on. :)

Barbara, Earth Hour is a great way to get all of us thinking in terms of conservation of resources.

We watched a movie for a couple of hours tonight, with the only light in the house eminating from the TV set.

My whole family has reached a further consensus ... we are now about to turn all the lights off in the house and leave them off for about 8 hours straight!!

How's that?!

Oh yeah, it's just after midnight, here.

We were at dinner with friends. At 8, we turned off all the lights and ate by candlelight. It was nice.

I did not know about earth hour, but we rarely have tons of lights on in our house. Usually at that time, we have the TV on, one small light in the room where we are, a small light in the kitchen and the back hall (like nightlights) so we won't fall and bust our tushies navigating through the house. Oh and, all of our lights are compact flurescent lights.

Here's my question, why do businesses leave so many lights on anyways? I understand parking lot lights for safety issues, but what about M-F 8-5 business buildings? Not just the outsides to make the buildings attractive, but floors and floors of lights on full blast. I don't get that. If they can do it for an hour on earth hour, why not all the time?
