Even after closing down browser & reopening, I've not gotten this feature usable again. After a week or so, it's beginning to bug me really badly.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Gina, have you tried completely rebooting? You may have to re-download the browser if that feature has indeed been deleted from your system.

This probably doesn't help, because I'm sure you've probably tried all of those things. But rebooting usually fixes a multitude of problems.

I was just talking to a friend about my computer -- 5 years old and still going strong -- I keep backing up everything very often because I know someday it's going to just QUIT. I keep putting off buying another one. I think I'm wanting to see how long this one will keep on going -- you know, I could swear it has bunny ears!!! LOL

Well, re-DL'ing the browser is something not yet done. Maybe I'll have to try that tonight after getting off here, eh? Thanks for that reminder; it came to minder sometimes within the last few days, but just didn't want to have to go that far, I guess, if I didn't have to!

As for those rabbit ears ... it was an old Ford cargo van that helped us move from MI back to AZ [Danny & I back in '95] that we called, "The Energizer" ... it just kept going & going & going & going .......... ;)

Can you copy & paste to or in other documents & programs?

Is it JUST the browser?

What browser do you use?

And since I'm asking so many questions ....
What's your bank account number?:laughing :basic02

Yes, sir. Just tried copy/paste in Word, and that worked, so it's just the browser.

What browser do you use?Firefox, of course!

What's your bank account number?:laughing :basic02!*@&%&#*()@*%#&*(_&*#%(_*#%(_#%&*(_ :basic05 :laughing :p:laughing

Since it's just the browser, that does mean re'DL'ing it, doesn't it? Ho-hum. UNLESS there are some settings within the browser that accidentally got changed somehow. If there might be some, where might I find them????????

Q: Do you have Firefox set to update automatically?

I am assuming you have already searched "Help" (F1)

Before I DL I would:

1. go to "web search" under "Tools" and do a search

2. go to "options" under Tools and check all my settings

3. read my "error console" under "Tools and see if I find any clues.

Oh ... and thanks for the account number. I'm deciphering it as we speak. so far it appears to be an offshore account. :p

Q: Do you have Firefox set to update automatically?

Yes, I've had it set to do this automatically "forever."

I am assuming you have already searched "Help" (F1)

OOPS! Didn't do this for copy/paste Firefox problem. Probably should've, too, because once I t old it to DL overnight, got up this morning & it had a note there telling me that it didn't completely DL, that it needed to go get something else (can't recall details now that were in the note). THEN it would not even let me connect "forever." I tried this, that, the other w/my connecting deal, then realized it still just had to be the browser ... so I'm finally here in Internet Explorer, but want my Firefox back! :( Can't keep phone tied up a long time during the day, so will retry FIREFOX again tonight. :(

2. go to "options" under Tools and check all my settings
Checked anything & everything I could possibly find under tools/settings/etc. Nothing.

3. read my "error console" under "Tools and see if I find any clues.
Read this, too, and it mentioned the DL attempt. Bummed!

Yes, waay off shore ... somewhere out in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle! HA! :laughing

You probably know this but sometimes in the midst of frustration we forget some things.

You will probably have better success if you delete firefox completely before downloading it.

I seem to remember someone ended up with the program loaded on the PC twice (two different locations) somehow and this caused some REAL headaches.

tho't they were supposed to have tabbed viewing, too, like Firefox. All I could get it to do is open new windows. That's not cool, since tabs are much easier to deal with. Hmmmmmm ... maybe what I found on here was an older version of IE & not the newest one. Oh, well ... don't have to bother to answer.

Did you get it fixed?
