In regards to the Lord, of course we are not, but then if we were Grace wouldn't be Grace. Maybe your a bit like me, always feeling if I do good God will be more receptive to my prayers etc. Despite all the Bible teaches about God's love and Grace, we often still don't get it. God is Love, pure unblemished Love, a Love without conditions, just the cry of the heart to Him. Yet, somehow we are preconditioned to seeing all the reasons, in our thinking, for God not loving us or hearing our prayers. Its praying through these barriers of doubts many find hard. Not doubting the gospels, not doubting the Lord, but doubting we are every good enough to be heard. I believe if we can deal with barrier of doubting, that is an emotional/psychological thing, we might break through more in prayer. I hope I have explained my thinking clearly enough, and invite your comments!

I appreciate your thoughts. When I'm counseling with people I often tell them you are worthy because Jesus thought you worthy enough to die for you--if he declared you worthy, who are you to say you aren't???

Absolutely Crystal, we sometimes just don't get how much God loves us.
