Food network?

When I was going through my radiation treatments my diet got largely limited. I still can't eat everything I want without paying for it. In an ironic twist, during that time I started watching the food network a lot. I really enjoy watching these people cook and the different dishes they come up with.

Any other food network watchers out there? What are some of your favorite shows.

I really enjoy Diners, Drive-in's and dives, Throwdown with Bobby Flay, the Iron Chef along with many others.

How about you?

I know there is another thread on the topic of Food Network.

I watch Good Eats and occasionally Rachel Ray.

I love the Food Network!
I am not Susie Homemaker, but I love the Food Network and anything on HGTV.
I watch Great Eats, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Paula Deen , Paula Deen's Son's Show , Rachel Ray, Paula's Party, Ace of Cakes, Contessa..........You name it I watch it.
I'm not a regular watcher though, only when I have time.

Ace of Cakes is my daughters favorite show, Duff is a funny guy......he would be a fun boss to have that is for sure. I think my Cholesterol goes up every time I watch Diners, Drive-ins and dives, heh!

Good Eats is good. I will occaisonally watch Paula Deen for the "horror" of it ~ meaning I watch in horror as I see all the butter and carbs being used. I used to like Secret Life of....when they had Jim O'Connor on it. When they switched hosts it was no longer funny so I stopped. Unwrapped has been known to keep my attention for a few minutes. My mother likes the barefoot contessa.

I enjoy Diners, Drivein and Dives to see all the outlandish things people cook and then people eat....and the huge portions. I like Guy, too.

I do not watch any program regularly, but watch a lot of different ones. I enjoy Unwrapped to see how some candies are made.

I have made several recipes from Paul Dean's show.

I really like Guy too, you can tell he honestly enjoys doing that show. I would rather watch most of the shows on Foodnetwork right now that a good portion of the shows on primetime tv.....

Yup, we both like to watch that show that NEITHER of us can ever get right. We call it Drivers, Dine-ins, and Drives...Drive-ins, Divers, and Dimes...Dive-ins, Dinners, and...well, you get my point.

We both sit there like Ma and Pa Kettle saying, "Lookit that! Lookit that!"

We have started calling it "Triple D" for the same reason, heh

We love it too!

DD&D, Unwrapped, and Good Eats are our favorites.

I'm not eating sugar/flour anymore...so I live vicariously through these shows...:p

Well, between Triple D (diners, dives and whatever), the History Channel (or, the Hitler Channel as my son calls it) and the ability to find one of the 300,000 (+/-) episodes of Cops on some channel, one simply has to conclude that life is, indeed, good.

Actually, as a result of the Food Channel, I know more about the rise of pizza in the US than I ever did before. And they actually did a number on one of my childhood's favorite places to eat (NuWay Hot Dogs in Macon, GA). I even made time, on a trip to Georgia a few years ago, to dine at the NuWay. Even though it cost several alka selzers and a roll of Tums to deal with it, it was worth it.

And one would certainly be remiss in failing to laud Paula Dean. Although, I feel she still needs to do a show on how to fry bacon in butter.

Hang in there...she might just do that!
