Wild Horses National Monument is on the north side of I90, just before you cross the Columbia River in Washington state if you are driving east.

Thousands of people observe the wild horses as they drive by on I90. A dozen or so each day stop and view them from the view area beside the road. Every now and then someone decides to see them up close.

Linda and I decided to be among those who see the horses up close.

So , I take it they aren't real live horses after all. Haven't heard of that park before .

Southwest of Boise on both sides of the Idaho-Oregon border is where the wild horse brood has to be thinned out each year by driving them to corrals where they are auctioned off for owners to break or some just have land where they can roam free.

I have seen Owyhee river area wild horses while hiking in the mountain. Even though, as Jim states, we have a lot of wild horses, Nevada has the nation's largest wild horse population.
