Appeltern: The Gardens

Today we went to the small village of Appeltern, where the have a large area with all sorts of different gardens. Som when you want to redesign your garden the Gardens of Appeltern (http://www.appeltern.nl/EN.pdf) is the place to be.

On our way back we passed the village of Batenburg the remnants of a castle from the 12th century. Lots of the houses in the village are from the 16th through the 18th century.
