We went out for a long ride on Saturday. I took some pictures of blooming cacti......and an old leaning fence post.......just whatever came into view that I wanted to photograph! It was a nice day -- except I ended up with stickers all over my pants legs.....LOL

But no snakes. That was a good thing!!

Here are a few of the pictures.....it was fun to get out of the house and enjoy the springtime weather.....I also walked a couple of miles with Ebony on Saturday afternoon -- however, having DOG prevents having CAMERA....LOL....so no pictures of the walk. Next time Lindsey goes with me, I'll take along the camera. There are some beautiful wildflowers this time of year!

Despite the comment by the "pro", I think the pics are great. :basic01
Yes, the use of a flash would have been great, but I kinda like the shadows. They seem to make the colors stand out.
That's just my humble "non-pro" opinion.

It is good to hear that you are going strong these days.

Thanks for sharing the scenery from out there in "Arid-zona."

Cecil,

A flash wouldn't have made the colors any less vibrant looking... it would have made the picture better by reducing the amount of contrast present in the picture. Digital cameras have much less exposure latitude than film, the blacks block up faster and you lose the detail in shadow areas...

Thanks for setting me straight.
That's a good tip which I shall try to remember when I take pics in those kinds of settings.
