Arizona in April

We were in AZ in April and besides meeting with Paula Karr, Dana Grant and some of my relatives we also visited the Grand Canyon, drove through Sedona and the Arizona Desert Museum.

Lori took almost all the pictures - this first one will give some perspective - I am wearing the purple backpack.

The second picture is taken from Ooh Aah Point towards Skeleton Point.

The last picture is from Sedona, AZ. If you have a chance, drive through Sedona. The road is so slow that you hardly need to stop to sight see.

As we went down the canyon we were separated by quite a distance. Lori and Jen were behind us. This section is a relatively flat portion of the trail.

The second picture is from the south rim looking down. It is difficult to show the depth of the canyon in a picture.

The third picture is looking up - in mid april there is still snow in the shadows.

Wonderful pictures, Doug. Haven't been up to the canyon in a few years -- you're making me want to head back up there. SO breathtaking!
