I was wondering myself about him.
I'll see if I can find something out...
when I talked to him last,
we left it that when he recovered enough to talk,
that he would call...
I didn't even get the hospital #, etc,
but I think I have his parents number... I'll try to find that..
Sorry for the delay!

I had the surgery to remove my cancerous right parotid gland (http://www.cancer.gov/cancer_information/doc.aspx?viewid=435800F6-1D0B-41BA-B2A5-678745E14C3F). The surgeon had to leave some of the tumor attached to my carotid artery to avoid damage and a possible stroke. I'll be undergoing radiation therapy within the next few weeks. My oncologist says that chemo is generally ineffective on the type of cancer. I appreciate everyone's prayers. See you online.

Mike, sorry to hear about all your trouble. With everything going on with Kara, this is the first I've heard about this. We'll remember you in prayer!

I saw my surgeon and my oncologist on Thursday. The surgeon removed the staples. I'll probably start radiation therapy in a couple of weeks. Thanks for your continued prayers and support.

Hi NazNetters. I went to the Dr. Monday and found I have a severe ear infection on the side where the remnants of the tumor are.. I have antibiotic tablets and ear drops. I have a meeting with the radiational oncologist Thursday for more testing and to plan the treatments.
Thanks for your continued prayers and support.

Sorry I haven't posted much. I really haven't felt much like sitting at the computer since I got out of the hospital.
My radiation therapy starts tomorrow, Wednesday, 7/9. I'll have 5 treatments per week for the next 7 weeks.
Thanks for your continued prayers.

Not long after these other couple of (phone) notes, Mike asked that his ph# be posted --- for texting, rather than talking (since he's already mentioned that being painful), so he can keep in touch with y'all w/o sitting at the computer for any length of time:
