Perhaps this is an old Native American medicine...how many
of you have heard of

Milk and Molassass enemas????????

the doctor ordered to give them till effective or till the "cow's come home"
which ever came first...not really.... the order actually read

"give every two hours all night"

i worked 16 hours...this made for EIGHT times!!

my suggestion is that the blankets should be a light brown color

the color of molasses..or...anyway..been a busy nite

How do we respond to this? I sure am glad that I was not you or the patient on this one. Virginia and I drove her 96 yr. old mother back home to Muncie yesterday afternoon, then stopped to see her aging aunt for a few minutes, and then, after a week-and-a-half of family gathered at our house, enjoyed a quiet 3 1/2 hour ride back home. big snow flakes coming down, staying off the interstate and slowing down for state highways, etc. Stopping for a quiet dinner after most of the dinner crowd had left in a small town. the food was excellent, etc. I sure am glad I had our evening and not yours. Nurses deserve every penny they are paid and it is still not what they are worth.
