Obtain Easy Thumbnails; it is Freeware. (There are other products, too.)
http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/
1. Easy Thumbnails has two tabs in the main window:
Original image, Thumbnail Preview.
Click on Thumbnail Preview so you can see what your final image will look like.
Note: In the Blue title bar, there is important information. In this picture it says:
tn_2005Driveway-28.jpg (600 x 450 pixels; 78,269 bytes)
This information changes based on the setting you set. You want to ensure
that your pixel and byte numbers are within NazNet standards.
2. This is the familiar Folder Explorer window you use to navigate to your
photo files.
3. This lists the photo files in the folder that you selected in #2.
In this example, 2005Driveway-28.JPG is selected.
4. This is where your new Thumbnail photo will be placed. The example shows
D:\Personal\Images\Thumbnails. To change this, click on the ... button
and select a folder into which your thumbnail pictures will go.
5. Click on the Make button to make thumbnails of the files you selected.
In this example, only one thumbnail will be made, but you can choose
a bunch of files and click Make and all the files you select will be made.
Note: If you want to make all of the files inthe folder, click the Make All
button. If your folder has lots of photos, it could take a few minutes.
6. If your photo doesn't look like the one in the example, that is because you
have not yet set up the settings. #6 shows the tabs Files, Settings, and About. Click on Settings and refer to the second example.
7. Generally with a JPG image, you can set the Max Width to 600 (pixels)
and be safe. Note the image information in the title bar again to see if it
is with NazNet restrictions.
Note: 78,269 bytes is roughly 78K (just divide by 1000).
8. Click the Make button. It works the same way whether you are on the
Files tab or the Settings tab.
Now that you have your images scaled down to Thumbnails in a folder
of your choosing, you can upload those images tg NazNet.
