OK here is the scenario......
We have set aside time this weekend to sit in the living room, enjoy the Christmas tree, have a fire in the fireplace, have family prayer time, and I want us to have a great time of just TALKING and sharing with one another.
SO I have come up with a sort-of GAME to get us really going and THINKING about one another. Bert is going to propose that we have family prayer partners and really pray earnestly for that person, including fasting, etc. And then as we come together once a month or so, we can change prayer partners, etc. I'm not sure how he is going to present it, but that is the basic idea.
SOO, I want to have a "hat" and pull out questions to discuss with each other... for example:
How do you think your parents have contributed to the way your life is turning out right now? (may be worded differently, and this is not just for Tyler and Lindsey to answer, but Bert & I, as well).
Share with us one of your most vivid childhood memories.
Share with us your testimony -- how God is working in your life, how you feel His presence with you on a daily basis, etc.
And I have a few more. This is a good thing for our family; we don't really have any problems sharing and talking -- but sometimes there are things I wished we could have talked about when we are together, but I forget to bring them up -- SOOOO, this time I'd really like to get some deep conversations going and I feel we need a little "UMPH" to get us started on some different subjects. I have some silly questions, as well, -- what's your favorite dog breed and why.........what's your favorite food.........what tradition does our family have that you treasure (I can hear Tyler -- Well, I don't know, but not THIS one!! LOL Tyler is a man of few words.....but he'll get into it if we get him started!! LOL)
Anyway --
Can any of you think of other questions that I might put in this "hat" -- I'm sure some of you can think of some GREAT questions to bring up for discussion.............
THANKS!!!
