Shortly after noon I watched the FIBA World Championship Semi-final between Turkey and Serbia. It was sloppy at the beginning, but led to a fantastic second half. Turkey won by one after the teams traded buckets three times in the last 20 seconds. Turkey will face the US for the championship - oh yeah, the tournament is being held in Turkey.
Then, I watched the end of the US Open Semi-final between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Federer was the better player throughout, but Djokovic stuck around and benefited from Federer's fatigue in the 5th set to knock off the three-time champ.
Then I was able to watch the end of the Michigan - Notre Dame football matchup. A couple of late touchdowns there made it an exciting conclusion.
There's still some big events on tap for this evening, but it's been a fine day for sports.
