Word on the street is that Starbucks is coming to Ripley (population approx. 2200) in Jackson county WV (pop. about 27K). WOW!

I wonder what all is in a redneck latte?

lol! Remember the show Ripley's Believe it or Not?? Sorry couldn't help myself.

Congrats to you! I imagine it will be another 20 years before our small town gets one.

Congratulations! Now you can pay as much for your caffeine fix as you do for a gallon of gas.

From my experience in other smaller towns, my guess is that it will be just off the interstate exit and will have a drive thru window to cater to those in a hurry out of town travelers. Is there an out of business restaurant near the interstate exit? If there is, I bet that's where it will be.

Ground is already broken for it. It is in the corner of the parking lot of our old WalMart. The former store has been converted into space for a Tractor Supply Company, Dollar Tree, and Goodwill store. In our town, nearly everything is adjacent to the interstate exit. Word has it that Appleby's is also on its way. It will probably be constructed adjacent to the newer Super WalMart.

Our town was supposed to get one but a local business lady fought it. So they're putting one at the next exit. LOL. I'm drinking one right now....mmmmm!
