John Williams and Lynn Redgrave

Linda and I were privileged to join Jeff and Joy at the Boston Pops this evening. John Williams conducted, and Lynn Redgrave did a reading during a neat presentation of some Harry Potter numbers.

John Williams career has been unbelievable. He has had a fabulous time in Boston, but the numbers he has composed is staggering. Just name a few.

My husband is a band director and tonight the high school band did "movie music." He did several numbers by John Williams. I would have loved to see Williams conducting the Pops live!

We got to see John Williams conduct the Columbus Sympany Orchestra last fall. It was wonderful. Unfortunately the CSO has fallen on financial hard times and the concert we see on 5/30 may be their last performance (they will do it again on 5/31 but no others are scheduled). So I'm doubly grateful to have had that opportunity.
