I service some vending machines on the side about once a week or so and I took some pictures on the way home today. we have a movable HOV lane called "the zipper". it is a concrete wall that is in links that a giant mover moves four times a day to allow an extra lane going with the flow of traffic during rush hours it takes one of the lanes on teh other side awy though. You have to have two or more people, or be on a motorcycle to ride it. It took 30 minutes to drive the first half home just to get to it and 10 minutes for the second half. Another reason I love my kids.:p

Stemmons Freeway looks familiar. I did that commute for several years, Richardson to Stemmons Freeway.

The picture of the Hotel Anatole brings back memories. I negotiated the contract to build that hotel. Trammel Crowe was in a hurry to build the hotel but his lawyers were taking a long time to negotiate the contract. We (Austin Commercial) wrote up a one page agreement that allowed us to get started. We were pouring the 5th floor before the contract was finally signed.

Gotta love that Dallas traffic. I am lucky that I live and work in Mckinney.

I usually try to be done and on my way home before the daily disaster starts, but I wasn't today.:basic04

Looks like you were on both Stemmons Fwy & E. I-30. I recognize that movable concrete barrier on I-30. And Stemmons (I-35) can be a real beast.

I'm surely glad that I don't have to drive in Dallas every day anymore.:basic05

I have seen Chicago traffic when I lived there in 99-00, and I agree, it is worse! I am not sure I have seen worse than LA though...
