God is good!!!

This has been an interesting week.

Last Friday, Paul dropped his boss at the airport before we were to close on our new house. Because he was coming from the airport instead of work he got stuck in traffic back up because the freeway was closed due to a fatal accident. We nearly had to reschedule the closing.

Tuesday, I locked myself out of the apartment. The emergency keys were IN the apartment too. My dear mother-in-law rescued me. The painter had the house open so I was able to spend the rest of the day digging happily in the dirt of my new garden.

Wednesday, the brakes went out on the van. The only way to stop it was drive up a tree. No more van. (photos on Praise and Prayer forum) I'd planned on using the van to do most of the moving. My wonderful mother-in-law rescued me again.

Today, I got woken up because the painter couldn't get the garage door open with the opener. The electricity is off (until Tuesday) I tried to unlock the UHaul so the guys could unload it when they arrived and neither I nor the painter could get the padlock to work. The lady from the UHaul rental place came and got it open.

I think I know why I've been reading from the book of James for my devotions huh?
:-D

"2 My brothers and sisters, you will face all kinds of trouble. When you do, think of it as pure joy. 3 Your faith will be put to the test. You know that when that happens it will produce in you the strength to continue. 4 The strength to keep going must be allowed to finish its work. Then you will be all you should be. You will have everything you need.
5 If any of you need wisdom, ask God for it. He will give it to you. God gives freely to everyone. He doesn't find fault."
from James chapter 1 NIrV

Your temporary theme song:

I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy ...
Where are my keys!?
What's with this traffic?
Lord, I'm on my knees! [tho' in the garden this time]

I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy ...
Padlock is stuck,
But we're all safe ... [in spite of those brakes]
God's given us "luck!"
