View Full Version : New to Posting at NazNet

Wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am new to posting on NazNet, I have been reading for over 4 years, but now am compelled to post.
I am a Nazarene, lifetime 3rd generation. I am an Elder and pastor of a church in Seattle. Our church has the footprints of Bresee and folks trying to live the love of Jesus- no new buildings planned - but the old one still has some wear left. We tend to "go" more than "congregate", so the need for space seems only limited by the contraints of our world.
I am married to another lifer and 3rd generation. I call her my Nazarene princess - since she has had 3 DS's, and every close male relative has served the church through the pastorate. If I really adoringly called her "my Naz Princess" - I would be a very sappy person.
I have been serving the church in various positions off and on since 1988. I have also worked in the business world in international shipping, reprographics and events for Microsoft.
I love the church enough to hang around.
I appreciate this forum, the constraints placed on membership and the openness to new ideas and thoughts.
I appreciate the lack of distinction between laity and pastor. All voices are important and respected.
I appreciate that my Nazarene heritage is nothing that gives any of us a superior ranking in this forum.Like Paul if I were to boast....:laughing
I have no thread that I am itching to contribute too – I just thought maybe from time to time I might want to join the conversation – at least be able to thank people.
So here I am – part of the family – and like families we have a few crazy Uncles and Aunts.
So 9 more and a week or so and I am into the inner circles.
Hope sarcasm isn't dead!

Welcome neighbor. Your parents live just up the road from Gig Harbor.

Mark,
Welcome from the East Coast.
I've been on Naz Net for about 8 1/2 years.
It is a nice fellowship group.
Have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day Weekend.

Welcome Mark.
I'm glad you're jumping in. As long as you always agree with me, we'll get along just fine.

Mark, welcome, as a fellow elder I have found our NazNet site an extremely interesting and helpful tool. Hope you are not one of the, "we have a few crazy Uncles and Aunts" you spoke of!:laughing

You have started down a slippery, slippery slope. It is very dangerous to write on NazNet and have one's husband on here as well. :) Watch out that you don't become like me...husband, mother, and brother-in-law all reading NazNet! :laughing
