Burlington, Wisconsin, (about a half-hour from my place) is home to a Nestle's Chocolate plant. The city has hosted an annual festival there since 1985.
There was a variety of standard low-budget entertainment that plays at traveling carnivals and fairs. Things like BMX trick rider, a juggling unicycle performer, a pair of former world-champion cowboys (gun handling, rope handling, whip cracking stuff), a hypnotist, etc. For those who like such things there were also a lot of rides and gaming amusement. Of course there were also a lot of concerts at different stages (I think they were mostly regional bands and tribute bands).
Oh, yeah, there was also a lot of CHOCOLATE! If I might brag a little, I left having only eaten one free (small) Nestle's Crunch bar!

There's also a ChoclolateFest in nearby Hershey, PA. They hold theirs in Feb. Mom and I volunteered for it one Sunday ~ we were in the coat rack section. I am proud to say that I did NOT indulge in the least. Am I good or what? :fav12

What restraint. What self-dsicipline.
All I do is just stay away from it all.

Yes, he is. He's been at Burlington since July, 1988. No other current Wisconsin District pastor has been at their church that long!

So, what's the point in going to a Chocolate Fest if you don't Fest on Chocolate?

The ChocolateFest at Hershey is done as a fund raiser for Keystone Human Services. Several volunteer organizations in the area are asked to volunteer to help with the Fest. Mom and I went as part of the local Kiwanis club. So, I went to volunteer, not gorge myself on all the chocolate that man ever created in the commonwealth of PA.
