These are of Arlington and one of The WALL
on the National Memorial.
One of the National Cemetery at San Francisco
The last photo is of my friend
18039

Acres of sorrow, Acres of pride -
America's heroes. For us they died.
They went to war, some barely men
And never made it home again

18035On this day, as fog enveloped the burial grounds, a bird was a lonely sentry watching over the soldiers buried at
the National Cemetery at the Presidio in San Francisco

Judy, your pics are awesome, they bring a deep sense of sadness, yet a deep respect for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. I saw the national concert at the washington mall last night on pbs and they had a man there who fought at the battle of the bulge, he was bayonetted 8 times, captured, and made a daring escape. They told his story and then he stood up and waved to all the people....I could not hold back the tears! We dont know what real sacrifice is today!

I join in thanking you, Judy, for the splendid montage of music and pictures that remind us who lived through those times of unity of WWII and the disunity of later wars. I thank you, personally, for your courageous and voluntary service in binding up the wounds of those who were on the battle front. It would be a precious time for me to have the chance to meet you either on this side or the otherside. May God grant you peace from those times of flashbacks knowing that you served Him and your nation to the best of your abilities. Thank you, dear lady.
