Repentance, Faith and Baptism
Repentance comes from METANOIA. It means a change of mind. It can be interpreted as a turn around. It involves a change of mind, purpose, direction, and intention. Repenting is what we do but we cannot do so apart for Prevenient Grace. So it is not purely human. It is not good theology to suggest that we must do our part and God will do His part. God has already done all He could do or needs to do. Repentance involves faith and faith involves repentance. In Baptism we identify with Christ. Repentance, faith and baptism are the designated human response to God’s initiative.
