Do you remember to him?
I am not sure, I wrote his name correct.

Yes, I do, Carsten. I too always wonder how to spell his last name. Can anyone help?

I'm pretty sure it was Whitlach......

edit: The other choice is Whitlatch -- now I'm not exactly sure of myself. Maybe someone will clarify.

I am pretty sure it was Whitlach.

He made me laugh until I cried, on several locations. The day I opened up NazNet and found out about his sudden death was an awful day.

Remember his posting about men at Walmart? He always made me laugh. I was online when Dave posted regarding Craig's death. Gary Swartzlander instant messaged me and told me to check NN that we had some bad news. We had an online NN funeral. Bittersweet memories.

[think it had two T's] Anyway ... sure do remember him. Along with all his hilarity, he posted some rather thoughtful things now & then, too.

Wonder how Angie is doing? Anyone know what she's up to? Since she's in Iowa, perhaps Joel or someone else there knows.

Hadn't looked at this forum for a while. Gina is right. It is two t's. And, you are not going to believe this... I have a copy of his memorial service that we did in IRC! I knew I had some old posts saved, so I looked in my files to see if I had anything that Craig had posted to and found the memorial service. No, he didn't post to that! Haha! But, I'll bet he would have loved to! :laughing

If anyone wants me to post it, I'll give it a try.

Betty, I would sure love a copy of the IRC! I've had a hard drive crash since then & bought a new computer as well, so I don't have anything from then. If you can't post it, my email address is way2bizzy@nazmail.com. I'll keep the Kleenex close while I read. I never thought I could cry so much for someone I'd never met in person. I was reminded again when Brad Mercer passed away.

Thanks, Betty!!

That would be good, Betty! Way back when I had text-only, there was no way I could get into IRC to meet with you guys [or any IM'ing, for that matter]. So, I missed the entire thing & never saw it, that I recall.

Thanks!

Craig, "It get so hot in Texas the trees whistle for the dogs!" lol
He was a great friend who i still dearly miss, got a disk of most of his postings somewhere.

Oh, Ian! Find that disk! Then, post one or two a day, OK? :basic05

All right, I'm off to see if I can get that IRC chat posted.

Well, I couldn't copy/paste because it was too long, so I am going to try to attach it. I have the original in a Word Perfect file as I am not a big MS Word fan, but every now and then, I get forced to convert something since that seems to be a more universal format. So, I have converted! :basic02 Only that doesn't work, either. Too big. Mark has a PDF converter and it looks like that will work, so that's even better.

What I am posting is the entire chat from the time the service actually started until I disconnected. Being a good pastor-type person, I hung around until it was time to start turning out the lights. That's why it is so long. :basic05

A note about all the names followed by periods for those who weren't there or don't remember... we had to post something every now and then in order to avoid getting kicked out of the chat, so we decided to just type a period occasionally. That was also a way of giving affirmation to what was being said and it gave us a record of who attended the service as well. As you will notice, some got kicked off anyway, but that was IRC for ya! I sure miss IRC. We had some fun as well as meaningful times.

Thanks, Betty. It opened OK in the Reader that's not from Adobe (which apparently uses much memory, as it hangs things up).

Haven't finished reading it yet, but I did notice --- something I'd forgotten --- that his b'day would've been this coming Tuesday (we shared a b'day). That will be a day of remembrance, I'm sure, for his family, as it's something one just does not forget, tho' someone's gone (just like each May 2 here--Danny's b'day).

Thanks Betty! I should have some material as well, need to check it.

Glad to do it. I used to save a lot of posts from the old forum since they would disappear so quickly. I've changed computers at least a couple of times and the old files didn't always make the move. Some of them may be on disk somewhere, though. I've got a bunch I need to go through when I have time. :laughing

I already did, Gary. It's a PDF attachment a few posts back up the thread.
