All I saw was an email heading, & then "McCain/Huckabee 2008" ... was there supposed to be a Garfield cartoon, even tho' your attachment has a text ".txt" suffix on it?

His post doesn't say it is a cartoon. If you looked lower in the body of the .txt file, you see "What Garfield thinks of the Oil Crisis".
How true the wisdom of a cartoon cat!

Unless I missed something, there was nothing there ... or is that what's supposed to be funny ... that, of course, Garfield --- busy thinking re food --- hasn't one tho't on the oil crisis??
Huh? :rolleyes: :laughing

Looks like there might be a problem with his link. I copied the part of the file that lists "Garfield on the oil crisis" and am pasting it here.
Garfield on the oil crisis
A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage
here in our country.
~~~
Well, there's a very simple answer.
~~~
Nobody bothered to check the oil.
~~~
We just didn't know we were getting low.
~~~
The reason for that is purely geographical.
~~~
Our OIL is located in :
~~~
ALASKA
~~~
California
~~~
Coastal Florida
~~~
Coastal Louisiana
~~~
Wyoming
~~~
Colorado
~~~
Kansas
~~~
Oklahoma
~~~
Pennsylvania
~~~
Texas
and
UTAH
~~~
Our dipsticks are located in DC
Any questions? No? Didn't think so.
Hope this helps everyone. :q)

Left out the Dakotas and Montana. Then there was the guy in Indiana who was so disgusted at the rising prices that he decided to drill for oil on his own land and struck some.
